You can carry one cabin bag weighing up to 10 kg with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, plus 1 small bag up to 35 x 20 x 20 onboard the aircraft.
- Liquids carried must be in a container of no more than 100ml (3.4 ounces)
- All liquids should be carried in a single, transparent, re-sealable plastic bag of up to 20cm x 20cm with a total capacity of up to a litre
- You must be able to completely close the bag and be able to fit it in your hand baggage
- The bag of liquids must be taken out of other hand baggage to be screened separately
Notice: All students must have a valid passport and a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). You are covered by a basic policy from the university. Any student with pre- existing medical conditions must ensure that they have adequate and suitable insurance cover.
Students should also leave the Hostel address, phone number and website details with your Emergency contact/next of Kin.
Throughout the trip each and every student acts as a representative of the university. Please don’t bring any illegal substances with you on the outward bound and return trip legs of the journey. Please don’t misuse alcohol or drugs during your stay.
You are independent adults and this is not a school trip.
However, we have a duty of care. In an emergency, accident, illness or lost passport, staff will endeavor to provide as much assistance as is considered reasonable in the circumstances.
It is important to carry a valid ID at all times. Your passport or university ID may offer concessions to galleries or museums.
Euros. There are ATMs or cashpoints all over the city.
Plugs are ‘continental two-pins’. You will require an adaptor to use any electrical goods, e.g. mobile phone recharger etc. Buy one before your travel.
Please note in Spain cars drive on the left, so take care crossing roads.
The nationwide emergency number for emergency medical services in Spain is 112. This number can be called free from any phone (fixed-line, mobile or phone booth).
