Wolverhampton Fine Art Student NAWM 2015 prize-winner

Kathleen Fabre, who graduated from Wolverhampton Fine Art in 2013, is one of the New Art West Midland prize winners.

Last night the New Art West Midlands 2015 award ceremony took place at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts.

Awards were given on behalf of Turning Point West Midlands and the four participating galleries (Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, The Barber Institute of Fine Arts, Wolverhampton Art Gallery and the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, Coventry) the winning artists include Emma Starkey, Andrea Hannon, Jade Simpson, Sevven Kucuk and Kathleen Fabre. We are also delighted that Emily Sparkes’ piece ‘An Ode to Christian Joy’ has been aquired by Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.

Further opportunities (such as residencies, projects and mentoring) will be awarded to New Art West Midlands 2015 artists and announced over the coming weeks.

Congratulations to all artists involved in this year’s exhibition.
