Professor John Roberts is an internationally distinguished writer, critic and curator. He has lectured throughout the United Kingdom and overseas, and has completed major curatorial projects in London, Venice, Hamburg and Liverpool. Professor Roberts lectures in arts and aesthetics at the University of Wolverhampton, and the author of The Art of Interruption: Realism, Photography, and the Everyday, The Intangibilities of Form: Skill and Deskilling in Art After the Readymade, and The Necessity of Errors. He has also contributed to the Oxford Art Journal, New Left Review, Radical Philosophy, Third Text, and Parallax.


Join Professor Roberts as he launches his new publication, Photography and Its Violations, at the Arena Theatre’s Tilstone Studio. His lecture will be followed by a drinks reception and the sale of a hardback edition of his book.
